Join us for a fun and creative evening on Friday, April 17 at 5:30 PM, when we’ll be gathering at Hammer & Stain East Michigan, 101 State Street in Harbor Beach for a hands‑on workshop that blends crafting and friendly competition.

You’ll start by choosing your doormat style during registration—pick from our 18×30 thicker coir doormat or our 18×28 low‑pile beige or black doormats. We’ll guide you step‑by‑step as you use stencils and outdoor paint to create a custom doormat that’s ready to welcome guests with personality. Pictures on the website are just examples. You can paint your design any colors you want!

We offer many stencil designs to choose from when registering, and if you have a specific idea in mind, you can email us your custom request, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

As your project dries, we’ll keep the fun going with a couple rounds of trivia, complete with prizes to add a little extra excitement to the night.

💵 Workshop Cost: $40 for 18x28 beige or black doormat. $45 for 18x30 Coir doormat.

Registration deadline is April 2. No refunds for cancellations.

Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. If you would like to cancel your reservation, you must give a minimum of 48 hour notice.

Please note a restocking fee of 30% of the total amount of the workshop will be deducted from your refund. Same day cancellations or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations will be processed on the day we receive your cancellation request. It may take up to 2 weeks for the refund to return to the account you used to purchase your items.

Hammer & Stain reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered
guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public
workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to
approval.
